There are different types of human trafficking which are sex trafficking, organ trafficking, and labor trafficking. Sex trafficking is the enslavement of women and children to perform commercial sex for maybe no or little money. Organ trafficking is the trading and selling of body organs, illegally. Labor trafficking is any work that a person is being forced to do through threat and punishment. When a person is traumatized of human trafficking, it leads worse to their personality.

Why this topic is relevant: Human trafficking is relevant because we need to recognize that human traffickers buy and sell people which is a form of modern slavery. The people that are usually captured are females and they are treated as a commodity. My audience needs to know why this is an important social issue.

Credibility: As a female, who goes out independently, I have been scared of my surroundings because of how many stories I have heard a lot with human trafficking, however, it can also happen to males too. No one is safe or exempt from human trafficking.

You should listen to this speech because human trafficking is a serious issue and anybody can become a victim so it’s best to have some kind of knowledge about this situation.

Human trafficking is serious because it is a horrible crime. Everyone should be going out freely and not be scared on doing what they want to do in this free world.

According to TDCAA, Everyone or mostly girls, should have the rights on not being mentally or physically abused, tortured, killed, or assaulted. We all have the right to be safe and secure in our homes and in public. There should be no problems on being outside or anywhere we go.

It is done by the use of threat or force. Since the victim was abducted and all drugged up, the victim will be treated poorly and has nobody to help. Also the person who sold the victim to another trafficker is controlled by the giving payments.

Human trafficking is done for the pleasure of the trafficker and also, which is major, the money. When the victim is being sold to another and onto another, the trafficker is getting paid on the higher bid of the victim.

Human trafficking mostly happens when a young girl and a older man has a love relationship but the young girl get too attached to the older man and doesn’t even know him, they run off together. And the girl doesn’t even know he was a trafficker. So it is better for people to make better decisions and knowing who you are surrounded by and with.

They may not know where they are, because they have been drugged up or beaten and moved frequently. They can not communicate with anybody even with close ones. However, when the traffickers abducts you, they are now in control because they can do anything to you. Which is scary and horrible because you CAN’T do anything about it, once the traffickers kidnaps you, it is a done deal unless there are ways to escape.

Human trafficking affects victims by experiencing harsh physical impacts due to excessive work or the use of force by traffickers. In Addition, victims may be exposed to serious health risks, such as HIVS/AIDS and mental risks.

The traffickers are taking advantage of the victims and knowing the situation what these victims go through is very bad.

Trafficking happens 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in every zip code. Many people are suffering through this situation and being bought for sex or labor, they are also getting abuse and can’t do anything about it.
