Okay, okay. My list is only 8 authors long but I’ve realized that I haven’t really read multiple works by many authors, which is something I’d usually have to do before I decide if they’re an “auto-buy”.

5. J.K. Rowling (I know many haven’t enjoyed her new works as much but I was fond of the part of the Casual Vacancy I managed to read before life happened)

7. Maggie Stiefvater (Raven Cycle hooked me)

8. Tamara Ireland Stone
