Beyond the Books is a weekly meme hosted by KissinBlueKaren. This week it’s all about the worst reasons I’ve ever bought or read a book.

There are 2 that came to mind immediately. The first one, that I’m sure many bookworms can connect with is OMG SO PRETTY I MUST HAVE IT!!! I’ve bought so many books because of cover lust or great fonts or just the overall packages (page style, cover, title, etc.). I know “you can’t judge a book by its cover” but that doesn’t stop me from reading or buying one because of it 😉

My second reason is the feeling that I have to read it. I’ve picked up so many classics because I feel like I’m a bad book lover if I never read them. I’ve suffered through books I didn’t enjoy because I felt it was something I had to read due to its prestige.
