So we all know September means football season (at least for those who are not CFL savvy). This book came out at the perfect time for it! I love me a good sports romance and this was no exception. The characters, the story, the football. It was everything.

As this is a romance book, I guess it’s most important to address the romance. I JUMPED SHIPS SO MANY TIMES I FELT LIKE I WAS WORKING OUT! I couldn’t decide for the longest time who I properly shipped and I kinda loved it? All I know is that I’m next in line for whichever boy is free by the end of the book. They were both amazing, swoon-worthy, and hot. The chemistry is so well-written as well I almost felt like I was the one living these steamy scenarios.

Another aspect I loved about the book was the relationship between the male leads. The whole team was a brotherhood but the dynamic between Miller and Sanchez was so freakin intoxicating. I wanted so desperately to be part of their crew. I enjoyed their jawing as much as I enjoyed the romance in this book and it really added a whole other layer to both the story and the writing.

The football sections were well done. We saw the day-to-day of both the players and the cheerleaders without it being mundane or too much. As a sports fan I don’t mind an overload of it in my sports romances but I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea so I think it’s just enough to give the vibe but also not bore non-fanatics!

Overall, I absolutely freaking adored this book! I immediately raced to Goodreads to check if there’s a companion…there is! I honestly cannot wait. (DO NOT READ THE SYNOPSIS FOR IT…YOU WILL SPOIL YOURSELF FOR THIS BOOK HAHA. It actually happened to a couple people I know.) If this book sounds like it’s up your alley pick it up ASAP. As soon as I heard what it was about I was on board and it did not disappoint. Actually, it was even better than I expected!
